Jacob's New Firsts

I thought we had run out of new things for Jacob to have 'firsts' with, but I guess he wanted to prove me wrong this week. He finally learned how to open the refrigerator door. A few minutes ago I thought he was still taking his nap and heard something in the kitchen . . . and this is what I found. :) If only I hadn't bought that tub of chocolate chip cookie dough at Costco, maybe he wouldn't have been so motivated!

Another thing that he has started doing this week (which is also cute but somewhat agitating at the same time) is climbing into Julie's crib anytime he's awake and she's taking a nap. She's smiling in the picture but it's not always such a happy outcome. I tend to find them with books and toys in there too. Maybe I wasn't so deprived after all by not having an older brother!

On Friday this week, right before Jake and I headed to the mailbox, I asked him to get the letters from Daddy. He disappeared for a minute and then walked around the corner carrying a bunch of his alphabet magnets from the fridge. Ok, maybe that's not really a 'first' but it was pretty cute.

darling! My son likes to climb into his sisters crib too...i think boys are simply trouble...although i distinctly rememeber thinking that about your brothers when we were younger...yup, tried and tested...boys are trouble! I love the picture with the tub of cookie dough! What a darling boy!!!
